Michael Friedl,  7th Dan
Friedl Sensei began his Aikido training in 1972 under Clyde Takeguchi Sensei in Madison, Wisconsin. Friedl Sensei became a live-in student (also known as a uchi deshi) for Takeguchi Sensei from 1975-1977 in Charleston, South Carolina. In 1978 he established a dojo in Burlington, Vermont. He relocated to Ashland, Oregon in 1979 and started a small club. Friedl Sensei affiliated with Frank Doran Sensei in 1979 and has been a student of Doran Sensei since that time. Friedl Sensei was uchi deshi for Saito Sensei in Iwama, Japan from 1981-1983. There he studied weapons intensely and the Iwama style of weapons remains a strong influence in his weapons style to this day. He returned to Ashland in 1986 and started a dojo in 1987.  In July of 1994 Aikido of Ashland opened it’s doors to dojo members. Friedl Sensei is a member of the Teaching Committee of the California Aikido Association.  Aikido of Ashland is one of the dojo in Division 2 of the California Aikido Association (CAA).  Friedl Sensei has also studied Shorei/Kempo Karate and Tai Chi.

Kimberly Richardson, 6th Dan
Richardson Sensei began her Aikido training at Naropa Institute in 1978 and shortly thereafter moved to Seattle to train with Mary Heiny Sensei. Determined athleticism, psychotherapy practices and energy awareness skills are key elements of her spirited teaching. Kimberly Sensei has studied throughout the U.S., Canada, and Japan most notably with Anno Shihan, Saotome and Ikeda Shihan, Terry Dobson and Tom Read Senseis. Richardson Sensei has acted as chief instructor at the Apple Computer Aikido School in Cupertino, CA and at Seattle School of Aikido. As an adjunct faculty member at Antioch University for ten years she taught “Aikido as Martial Art and Spiritual Practice”. In 1995 she founded Two Cranes Aikido in Seattle.

Josh Drachman, 6th Dan
Drachman Sensei has over 30 years of Aikido experience and has been actively training under Saotome Shihan since 1995. He is a Rokudan in ASU, a member of Ueshiba Juku and Treasurer of the ASU Board of Directors. He began his Aikido training under Saotome Shihan in 1982 and trained at the Aikido Shobukan Dojo in Washington, D.C. from 1982-1984. He trained at the Aikido Hombu Dojo in Tokyo from 1985-1991, where he studied under numerous shihan including Yamaguchi Sensei, Endo Sensei and Masuda Sensei. He is a yudansha in two forms of Karate (Soshinkan and Shotokan), a yudansha in Daito Ryu Aikijujitsu (Ginjukai and Roppokai), a member of a classical Japanese sword school, and an active practitioner of internal power training under Dan Harden and T’ai Chi energetics under Scott Meredith. He co-translated the English version of "Karate and Ki" by Kenji Ushiro Sensei as well as "A Light on Transmission" by Saotome Sensei.  He ran his own dojo, Aikido of Palm Beach County, from 2003-2010 and is currently the Assistant Dojo Cho at Aikido Eastside.

Lee Crawford 6th Dan
Crawford Sensei began her aikido training in 1980 under the direction of Akira Tohei Shihan at the University of Wisconsin Aikido Club.  After relocating to Seattle in 1988, she became the Assistant Chief Instructor for George Ledyard Sensei at Aikido Eastside in Bellevue, WA. In 1995 Crawford Sensei opened Aikido Northshore in Kirkland, WA.  She has trained extensively under the direct instruction of Mitsugi Saotome Shihan and Hiroshi Ikeda Shihan. Crawford Sensei also includes Kevin Choate Sensei and Patty Saotome Sensei as having strong influences on her aikido. 
In 2014 Crawford Sensei was awarded the Ueshiba Juku designation by Saotome Shihan.  This honor identifies those who are in a direct line of succession from O'Sensei  through Saotome Shihan.
